Welcome to Shadow World @ symbolique - the pages herein consist of the second part of a role-playing game campaign set in the world and lands of Shadow World (produced by I.C.E.). The notes and material here are expanded from official products released by I.C.E. and Eidolon and as such are not ment to challenge the material - this has been developed for personal purposes and is presented here only to serve as interest or to offer background material/resources to the online Shadow World community. Descriptions found herein are extrapolations and sometimes select copies of information found in sourcebooks used only in their context for use within the game itself.

Book two: 'Hunting Divine Whispers' is the second arc for the group of four playing a long Shadow World campaign. The material herein is developed with the lands of Emer with the city of Sel-kai being the center of the development and story of the three characters (The Players). The campaign continues the slow destability of Emer, but at a much more relaxed pace, this story arc a denouement of sorts that will see Sel-kai as a power center of politics that will ultimate develop to form the final story, whereupon the Jerak Ahrenreth dominate Emer through the expansion of Ardania. This campaign began in the first week of April and is intended to finish at the end of November - NOTE: this campaign is still running, updates will be added sporadically until then.

This campaign is run in two stories, due to the physical location of the players only the characters Stjepan & Celimé were able to face to face role-play, with the third player, Ishraha, active by a semi-weekly loose PBeM with icq chat features. Both stories interweave and at times oppose each other but serve to expand the story beyond one thread.

Inspiration for this campaign has come from H. P. Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, and in particular Terry Amthor whose work has furthered the Shadow World cosmology, history and cohesiveness of the world into the vessel for roleplaying that it is today.

The notes herein are best left for GM's - many spoilers and references and notes have been lifted from the new official books on Emer published by Eidolon. All information does not try to be true to the vision of Rolemaster or Shadow World and is influenced with dark aesthetics with mature audiences in mind. Files are offered individually in pdf form (poor grammar attributed to the stress every GM feels when on the razor blade of time) - the cover to Hunting Divine Whispers is Copyright © 2002 J Just.
