History: Angelo was born by his poor mother into a poor family and a horrible world. His father, a drunk anthropologist-wannabee working in the outskirts of Mexico was murdered in a bizarre incident with the young Angelo as the only witness(?)...
Angelos father was in a digging crew in an old Mayan temple, together with Angelo as a sort of vacation for the young one(he had already beat the others in the class in english and this was his reward). Everything went smoothly until the crew uncovered what must have been the burial chamber. Late at night, young Angelo asleep, the father played a game of poker with his friends, and of course he won. Euophoric by the win and with the help of his bottle he stumbled into the burial chamber and fell asleep. Meanwhile, Angelo dreamt a strange nightmare in which he saw his father being strangled by a man in black, without a face. He woke and although the only guidance to his father came from the dream he just had he, he found his father strangled in the chamber, eyes wideopen and his hand still cluthing the money.
It was later revealed that one of the men who lost his money in the poker-game had committed the murder. He had in fact been found with the fathers bottle, a wide and stupid grin on his face, talking jibbrish. Some of the locals said that he had been possessed by malovelent spirits, guarding the burial ground. Due to respect for him(and fear of the spirits) he was buried on sight. They later mowed down the temple until nothing remained. Returning with the news, Angelos mother suffered a stroke and is still being treated in the hospital. Suddenly, Angelo was the cornerstone of the family. He was taken care of by his uncle José in the States after a couple of run-ins with the local authority as a gang member. And later returned to his roots and his sister in Mexico.

Uncle José. A bit conservative but kind uncle. Lives in LA. 67 years old.
Angelo does not know of any other relatives and he doesn't care. They haven't done anything for him, so why should he do something for them?
Personality:
All people are meant for something including Angelo. What he loves the most is to dream.
Not normal dreams however. Some show the past, others the present. But he likes them.
If he dreams during the day that is. During the night they become twisted visions of what could have been, taunting him until he awakens. Angelo dreams so much during his sleep that his mind has been addicted to it. If he doesn't get his normal share of dreams he might start to daydream and the dreams become reality as this world slides into the world of his mind and the two become one. But only sometimes...
Therefore he's always works or studies during the night. Always. It has almost become a ritual out of nescessity. This also makes him tired during the day if he doesn't get his hours. Oh'yes he sleeps during class to... He's one of the most disorganised men you may find. His condo looks like a garbage dump. For those who've gotten under his skin, he is a really kind, straight-forward young man with a lot of visions and a depressed view of the world. His sometimes odd behavior and the fact that he's kind of quiet makes him difficult to understand and Angelos' experienced that a couple of times. He doesn't have any laid out goals except to make money so his mother can stay in the hospital and finish his studies. Maybe settling down with one of his girlfriends. Oh'yeah, to find a way of dreaming himself away with his mother into a world without troubles wouldn't be such a bad thing either.

Girls n' streetlife: Since you asked about it, I thought about it and adjusted accordingly.
Roach hasn't had a lot of girlfriends nor anyone that was any special. Except one.
Carolina (yes, CA-RO-LINA, not some SHAGGY-ianized version of Carolaaaaiiiiinnnnnnaaa)
Anyway, they were together for a good 10 months. Then suddenly she disappered in the middle if the night without saying goodbye. Note that I'm doing this to make it easier for you to insert this in the campaign (or not). He hasn't heard from her since. The rest of the girls we're pickups from the local bar or "friends" from the U. None lasted very long. Roach spends some time in parties arranged by fellow classmates but he doesn't stay very long. He finds them boring and in his own words "whaddo I need to go to parties for?!? Juz' a lot of people gettin' drunk! What's the use? I dream myself away instead. Yeah that's what I do. Beats the hell out of lettin' down a 40 oz. down ya throat. And you lose the hangover too..."
Roach is as comforable dreaming (or finding inspiration to do so) in the poverty of the streets as in his own home. Yes, he has a lust to roam the streets but not with friends as most would. He likes to do it alone, and at night. That's why he's got that scar above his eyebrow.
Disadvantages: Phobias: cemeteries, burial grounds etc. Nightmares.
Advantages: Gifted in languages. Honesty. Enhanced concioussness. Giving. Unselfish.
Skills: Computer knowledge, Seduce, Informationretrieval, Contacts: Antiquarians, Librarians, English, Written report, Speech, Man of the world, Humaniora; Anthropology, Climb, Handguns,, Sneak, Hide, Swim, Dodge, Search, Drive car, Guitar playing (all the classical jams?)
About Dream: This is how well he can controll his dreams and if they are just dreams or nightmares. Also if he falls asleep in stressed situations or just starts to daydream...
