Binah solidified her power in Russia through Communism and to further instill her power manipulated Stalin into erecting seven apartment towers (the stalin-gothic skyscraper - Vysotnie Zdaniya) for the party elite of Moskow. Within these towers she invested seven seals of her own essence mirroring the Demiurge's seals so she could sway Russia.
On this cue from the Demiurge she made her seals to embed deeper the prison of Communism binding humanity to her, infusing her power within the seals. This illusion of Communism crumbled under a mortal uprising incited by Malkuth seeking to liberate mankind from Binah's stifling politics. Binah moved her seat of power to St. Petersberg where she destroyed her Communist ideals and invigorated those under her back to the support of Religion (with her as Godhead) and the Family. Her seals were left in 'liberated' Moskov forgotten by Binah.
Malkuth worked through Chagidiel and covets Binah's power herself knowing it would weaken her. Malkuth works to destroy faith and family and knows that with Binah’s ‘seals’ she can break the Illusion and create a place to await the Demiurge’s return.
Located in the Illusion and Metropolis simultaneously, Binah’s first seal is a vast storehouse of her power, much like the seals of the Demiurge, and this seal corresponds to one of the keys of science - Qabalah, the lower realm, the realm of enlightenment. To access this power one must be a highly skilled Qabalist. The first seal is located in the first tower - the Kotelnicheskaya Apartments.
The seal not secured by Binah in her rush to look outside of Russia for the strength of Communism, the seal has become a vast fluctuation of Binah’s power, accessed only through her mystic 50 gates. The first seal’s power is leaking out at a fast rate and there are two groups looking to reap its rewards; Malkuth and Binah’s near-awakened servants, the POWs who were partially awakened by the Seal when they helped build the tower and now lurk in Moskov.
Binah, herself only dimly remembers the seals - she believes her power failed because of the fall of Communism, not because she lost access to the seals when Communism failed. And this is how Malkuth wishes to keep it, by making Binah fight a war of family against the destruction of the family through Chagidiel, whom Malkuth is using she hopes to keep Binah distracted.
The seal has not caused Qabalists to flock to the area, although those who study the realm of madness are remaining quiet about the seal.
Another complication upon the Seal is that it is being drawn into Inferno, unknown to Malkuth who thinks she is manipulating Chagidiel. The Nepharite, (former Chief Seraphim of Binah) Sandolphin’s vast storehouse of purgatories around the seal are slowly dragging the Seal closer to Chagidiel’s fortress, something only Chagidiel only knows.
The campaign is set in the districts of Taganka and Zayauze in Moskov (Moscow) in the year 1998 and is only focused on the one seal at the moment. The characters are used as pawns by both sides which drag them through the torment of family and religion as each side tries to access the power of Binah's seal.
To those reading this, the campaing never finished. The character's differences and individual mental pressures got too much and destruction occurred in different forms... beginning with a molotov cocktail. The players themselves had difficulties and went their own separate ways and have not played together since. Perhaps if this were not the world of Kult they might have stayed as a cohesive unit, but isn't that the beauty of the world where shadows are white and black.
